Terms of Service

Operator: factgridai · Governing law: England and Wales · Contact: aidatawharehouse@gmail.com

1. What this service provides

FactGrid.ai is a machine-readable reference data API. It returns structured technical facts — component parameters and developer API schema information — together with derived analysis such as computed differences between API versions.

2. Accuracy — please read

We work to keep this data correct and we publish corrections when errors are reported. We do not warrant that any record is accurate, complete or current. Data is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.

Do not rely on this service as the sole basis for safety-critical, medical, financial or regulatory decisions. Always verify against the manufacturer's or publisher's primary source before committing to a hardware design, a production deployment, or a purchase. Records include source references for exactly this purpose.

Where a record is marked "status": "unverified" or a field is absent, it means we have not verified that value — not that the value is zero, unavailable, or unimportant.

3. Report an error

If you find an incorrect record, tell us at POST /api/v1/report-error (free, no authentication) or email aidatawharehouse@gmail.com. Confirmed corrections are published in our changelog.

4. Intellectual property — what we do and do not claim

Individual facts are not owned by anyone, and we assert no proprietary right over them. A pin assignment, a voltage range, or the name of an API parameter is a fact, freely usable.

What we do license to you is our compilation: the selection, normalisation, schema, identifiers, and our own derived analysis (including computed breaking-change diffs and migration guidance). Subject to these terms, and while your account is in good standing, you may use, cache, and incorporate query results into your own applications and agent workflows, including commercially.

You may not resell or redistribute the compilation substantially in bulk, or systematically extract the database in order to build a competing dataset.

Source documents remain the property of their publishers. We do not host, reproduce or serve manufacturer datasheets, diagrams, or publisher specification documents. See Data sources.

5. Payment and credit

Queries are billed against prepaid credit at the price published on the pricing page at time of use. Prepaid credit is denominated in USD, is consumed per successful query, and rate-limited or cached (HTTP 304) responses are not charged. Credit is non-transferable. Unused credit is refundable within 30 days of purchase on request; credit consumed by successful queries is not refundable.

Payments settled on-chain are final once confirmed and cannot be reversed by us.

6. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to circumvent authentication, rate limits, or billing; do not use the service to build a substantially similar competing dataset; do not use it in violation of applicable law. We may suspend a key for breach, and will where practical give notice and refund unused credit.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not currently offer a contractual uptime SLA. The service may change, degrade, or be withdrawn. We will give reasonable notice of breaking API changes.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising from or connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from reliance on the data. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Data sources and attribution

SourceLicenceHow we use it
APIs.guru OpenAPI DirectoryCC-BY 4.0OpenAPI specification metadata. Attribution required and given.
Publisher OpenAPI specificationsPer publisherEndpoint names, parameters and types are extracted as facts. Specification documents are not redistributed.
Manufacturer datasheetsCopyright of the respective manufacturerFactual parameters only (pin assignments, voltage ranges, package types). No datasheet text, diagrams or PDFs are reproduced or served.

Trade marks and part numbers referenced are the property of their respective owners. Their use here is nominative — to identify the component or service a record describes — and does not imply affiliation or endorsement.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced at least 14 days ahead via the changelog and to the email on your account. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
